Cast and Crew
Backed by Kalanithi Maran through Sun Pictures, the sequel follows the 2023 hit film Jailer and continues the story of retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The star-studded cast features Rajinikanth, SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa, Rithvik, and Namo Narayana. It also includes special appearances by Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Hrithik Roshan, and Vijay Sethupathi, alongside special numbers by Shamna Kasim and Nora Fatehi.
Context
Major commercial Indian releases often experience a natural drop in daily ticket sales by their third week as initial crowds thin out. Even with this slowdown, films with strong early momentum can still post healthy totals if they face little to no direct competition at the box office.
