Toyota's PT Toyota‑Astra Motor has launched an updated Kijang Innova Zenix in Indonesia, adding dual 12.3‑inch screens, in‑car Wi‑Fi and a dash‑cam while keeping the same 2.0‑litre engine and hybrid system. The V Hybrid Type trim starts at IDR 517 million (about Rs 27.05 lakh) and the G Hybrid Type trim starts at IDR 475 million (about Rs 24.87 lakh), both on‑the‑road in Jakarta. A Modellista version based on the V Hybrid trim includes extra exterior kits such as front splitters, side claddings and robust side steps. Inside, Hybrid models now feature a 12.3‑inch infotainment display and a matching 12.3‑inch TFT instrument cluster; non‑Hybrid V and G trims receive a new 7‑inch TFT cluster. The large infotainment screen sticks out from the dashboard and provides Wi‑Fi for all passengers, while a 360‑degree camera is added for the Indonesian market. Other upgrades include an electrically adjustable driver seat, a dual‑channel dash‑cam with DVR, power‑folding side mirrors and updated telematics. The rear‑seat entertainment system and wireless charger have been dropped. Mechanically the vehicle still uses a 2.0‑litre four‑cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a self‑charging hybrid system and a nickel‑based lithium‑ion battery; a flex‑fuel option may be added later. The same set of changes is expected to appear on the Indian Innova Hycross facelift slated for launch on November 26. ## Context These updates are typical of a mid‑cycle refresh that aims to keep a popular MPV competitive by adding premium tech and styling tweaks while retaining the proven powertrain. Larger screens and in‑car Wi‑Fi are becoming standard expectations in this vehicle segment.
