Star Plus has revealed the title of its upcoming romantic family drama as Dil Ki Bewafaiyaan, starring actors Gaurav Khanna and Shraddha Arya together for the first time. The show is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms and is being readied for a launch towards the end of November, though the exact premiere date and time are yet to be announced by the channel.

Background

The project marks Gaurav's return to daily fiction after his work in Anupamaa. For Shraddha, this serves as her comeback following her long-running role in Kundali Bhagya, and it is her second collaboration with Balaji Telefilms. The title announcement follows an earlier teaser that showed both actors arriving at the Balaji Telefilms office. Producer Ektaa R Kapoor expressed excitement about casting them together, noting she had wanted to see them share the screen for a long time. Ektaa also stated that she wanted to explore a new love story following the end of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.0.

Production

Preparations for the new series are underway. Gaurav and Shraddha recently took part in a prayer ceremony or puja ahead of the project, with clips and photos from the event appearing on social media. Filming has not started yet, but the set of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.0 is currently being revamped for this production. The show is tentatively planned for a release in the last week of November following Diwali and is reportedly being considered for the nine pm slot on Star Plus, pending final confirmation.

Context

New television shows on Indian channels often take over sets from recently concluded series to save time and production costs. Major networks routinely line up fresh family dramas for the festive and post-festive seasons to attract peak viewership. Daily soap operas frequently release teasers and behind-the-scenes puja clips to build early audience interest before actual broadcast dates are locked.
