Box Office Numbers
The movie opened with paid premieres making 11.60 crore rupees, followed by a strong Day 1 collection of 34.65 crore rupees net across 9,732 shows. Collections dropped by 57 percent on Day 2 to 14.90 crore rupees, before recovering slightly during the first weekend with 15.25 crore rupees on Day 3 and an estimated 14 crore rupees on Day 4. Weekday collections dropped steadily, bringing Day 7 down to 3.40 crore rupees across 5,678 shows in India with an overseas addition of 0.35 crore rupees for a total overseas gross of 30.85 crore rupees.
Comparisons and Records
This first-week total makes The Paradise the biggest film of Nani's career by a large margin and his first movie to cross the 100 crore rupee domestic mark. Previous films earned much less in their opening weeks, with Dasara collecting around 45 crore rupees, HIT: The Third Case making 50 crore rupees, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram earning 30 crore rupees, and Hi Nanna bringing in 25 crore rupees. Globally, the 154.80 crore rupee worldwide gross makes it the sixth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2026, sitting behind Peddi, The Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, Irumudi, and Mandaadi, while beating out Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
Audience Trends
The film collected roughly 44 percent of its entire first-week domestic total on Day 1 alone including premieres, pointing to heavy advance bookings driven by the Nani and Srikanth Odela combination, music by Anirudh, and curiosity over a no-trailer strategy. Because typical films with strong word-of-mouth earn 25 to 30 percent of their first-week total on opening day, this frontloading shows that the most eager fans came out early before later reviews and a 90 percent drop in daily earnings from opening day took effect.
Context
Box office collections in the Indian film industry often rely heavily on opening day hype and star power to drive early ticket sales. High opening numbers followed by sharp weekday drops are common when a movie appeals mostly to dedicated fan bases who book tickets well in advance.
