Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput share stories from their first meeting on Kapil Sharma's show

First Meeting

Mira revealed that she and Shahid talked for seven hours during their very first meeting. Shahid mentioned that Mira was 20 years old at the time while he was 34, and he initially wondered if their wavelengths would match. Shahid also shared a funny story about wearing glow-in-the-dark shoes during that meeting to trick early paparazzi flash cameras, forgetting that Mira had no connection to the film industry.

Family Reactions

Shahid recalled visiting Mira's home in Delhi for the first time while he was shooting for the film Udta Punjab. He had green hair for his character Tommy Singh, and Mira's father, who is an IITian and an engineer, froze when he opened the door and saw him. Shahid also shared that a newly married Mira was so stressed after watching his dark performance in Udta Punjab in the edit room that she sat on the other end of the sofa and wondered who she had married. However, Mira later encouraged him to take on his role in Kabir Singh.

The couple got married in 2015 and now have two children, a daughter named Misha born in 2016 and a son named Zayn born in 2018.
