Concord Biotech Limited has fixed Wednesday, November 4, as the record date for its upcoming one-to-one bonus share issue. Investors must own the company stock before this date to qualify for the corporate action, meaning they need to hold shares by Tuesday, November 3. The Ahmedabad-based bio-pharmaceutical components maker is the only company with a bonus issue record date scheduled for the coming week, according to BSE website data as of November 1. ## Bonus Details Under this corporate action, the board of directors approved a bonus issue in a 1:1 ratio. This means every eligible shareholder will receive one extra equity share for every single fully paid-up share they already own. This issuance of additional shares remains subject to the necessary statutory and regulatory approvals. ## Stock Performance On Friday, October 30, the company stock closed 1.25 percent higher at 1,245.30 rupees per share on the BSE. This left the firm with a market capitalization of 13,027.86 crore rupees. The stock has gained 1.34 percent over the past week, supported by positive sentiment across pharmaceutical sector stocks. Over the longer term, the share price touched a 52-week high of 1,614.05 rupees on August 20, 2026, and dropped to a 52-week low of 987.05 rupees on April 2, 2026. The value has decreased by 6.97 percent in two weeks, 9.33 percent in one month, and roughly 14.28 percent over the past year. However, the stock remains up nearly 68 percent from its initial public offering issue price of 741 rupees per share after listing in August 2023. ## Context Bonus issues are common corporate actions where a company rewards its existing shareholders by giving them extra shares instead of cash dividends. When a firm issues a 1:1 bonus, the total number of shares doubles while the share price adjusts downward proportionally, though the total value of an investor's holding remains unchanged on the day the adjustment takes effect.
