Himesh Reshammiya Announces Directorial Debut and Plans to Become Superstar Actor

What Happened

Music composer‑turn‑actor Himesh Reshammiya told trade analyst Komal Nahta that he will direct his first film soon. He said he already has two to three scripts ready and calls them blockbusters. He added that the music for his directorial venture will fetch Rs 100 crore on the day of release. He said his vision is clear on scale, emotional connect and beautiful songs. The film will feature another actor, not Himesh, while he will continue acting in other projects under different directors.

Reaction

Reshammiya said, “I want to become a superstar actor. Mujhe banna hi hai aur banoonga bhi… My thirteenth film will be a blockbuster,” comparing his goal to Amitabh Bachchan’s successful thirteenth film.

Context

In Bollywood, composers often move into directing, and a Rs 100 crore opening day is considered a major box‑office milestone, indicating high expectations for the music and overall film.
