Triumph has teased four upcoming motorcycles ahead of an official announcement on October 6, 2026, at 12 pm BST or 4:30 pm IST. One of these models is a classic roadster expected to be the new Bonneville 400.

Design And Features

The upcoming retro motorcycle features a sculpted fuel tank, circular headlamp, and round mirrors. It also includes a flat bench seat, a chrome-finished rear grab rail, a broad rear fender, and a compact tail lamp. Wire-spoke wheels, conventional telescopic forks with gaiters, twin rear shock absorbers, and a long peashooter-style exhaust add to the traditional look. Previous sightings of the bike also showed brushed-metal engine detailing and a wide single-piece seat.

Mechanical Setup And Rivals

The rear suspension uses a twin-shock setup, which differs from the monoshock arrangement on the Speed 400 and requires changes to the rear structure, swingarm, and subframe. The India-spec version could use a 349cc engine, while international models might keep the 398cc unit. Bajaj manufactures these small-capacity motorcycles at its Pune plant and handles the Triumph 400 range business in India. This setup will help price the motorcycle aggressively to compete with models like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda CB350.

Other Teased Models

Apart from the retro roadster, the teaser reveals a sporty naked motorcycle and two adventure-style machines. These could belong to the Street Triple and Tiger families, though their exact names and engine capacities are not yet confirmed.

Context

Triumph has been expanding its presence in smaller engine segments through its partnership with Bajaj to reach riders looking for accessible heritage-style motorcycles. The classic roadster segment in India is popular among riders who want everyday comfort combined with traditional styling.
