Shah Rukh Khan unveiled ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’, the inaugural song from his forthcoming action entertainer KING, minutes after the clock struck midnight on his 61st birthday, 2 November. The track pairs Arijit Singh’s vocals with a rap segment by global pop star Ed Sheeran, and also features Madhubanti Bagchi.

Song Details

The video opens with Khan, clad in black and carrying a gun, declaring, “Main qaatil nahi, aashiq hoon…”, establishing his character’s dual nature. Within seconds he retrieves a bouquet, shoots a tied‑up hostage, and proceeds on a date with Deepika Padukone, who plays his love interest. The choreography by Piyush‑Shazia blends romance and action, showing the pair’s hook steps across an island and intercutting gun‑smuggling, a volleyball rescue, and a brutal axe‑rampage. The English rap was written by Sheeran, while the Hindi lyrics were penned by Kumaar. Composed by Sachin‑Jigar, the song mixes upbeat dance beats with cinematic fight sequences and ends with Khan’s line, “Iss baar dil mein aag lagi hai, ab duniya jalaye bina maanega nahi”.

The action thriller also stars Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut alongside an ensemble cast that includes Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma. It is slated for worldwide release on 24 December 2026, with the song available on Zee Music Company and T‑Series YouTube channels.

Context

‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ serves as a promotional glimpse of KING’s blend of high‑octane action and romance, a formula that has driven recent Bollywood blockbusters starring Khan. The collaboration with Ed Sheeran highlights the growing trend of cross‑border musical partnerships in Indian cinema.
