Honda has introduced its newest adventure scooter, the ADV125, at EICMA 2026. The scooter targets urban riders and A1 licence holders in Europe while offering a more accessible price point than its larger siblings.
Performance and Fuel Economy
A 125 cc, water-cooled eSP+ SOHC four-valve engine powers the ADV125, pushing out 12.5 PS at 8,750 rpm and 11.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This is the same engine used in the PCX125. The scooter cruises easily at 90 km/h with a top speed of 97 km/h. It delivers a mileage of about 47.6 km/l and uses an 8.1 litre fuel tank to give a total range of roughly 385 km. Technologies like Honda Selectable Torque Control, PGM-FI fuel injection, and an Idling Stop System help boost its performance.
Design and Build
The ADV125 features sharp, muscular bodywork with a large windscreen, dual headlamps with integrated DRLs, a step-up seat, and an upswept exhaust. Buyers can pick from four colours: Pearl Falcon Grey, Pearl Cool White, Mat Cynos Gray Metallic, and Mat Pearl Diaspro Red. It uses a steel tubular underbone frame with telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers. The wheels measure 14 inches at the front and 13 inches at the rear, wrapped in Pirelli or Tourance block-pattern tubeless tyres. Stopping power comes from 240 mm front and 220 mm rear discs with Nissin callipers and standard single channel ABS. Ground clearance sits at 165 mm, and the seat height is 780 mm.
Features and Technology
Practical additions include 29 litres of underseat storage, a 2-litre glove box, and a USB Type-C charging port. A 5-inch TFT display pairs with the Honda RoadSync connectivity suite for calls, messages, and music. The scooter also includes a Honda SMART key for keyless ignition, anti-theft functions, and remote access to the fuel cap and seat.
Context
Adventure-styled scooters have grown increasingly popular as urban riders look for two-wheelers that can handle rough city roads and mild off-road tracks alike. EICMA, held annually in Milan, is one of the world's largest motorcycle trade shows where major manufacturers unveil their latest global models.
