Honda unveiled the 2027 CRF1150L Africa Twin series at EICMA 2026, adding two new variants to the adventure bike lineup. The lineup now includes the standard CRF1150L Africa Twin, the CRF1150L Africa Twin Adventure Sports, and the all‑new CRF1150L Africa Twin Enduro Sports, each with unique styling and parts. All three models share a larger 1,131 cc liquid‑cooled parallel‑twin engine that produces 119 PS at 7,500 rpm and 119 Nm of torque at 5,700 rpm. Improvements to the intake and exhaust system and revised gear ratios boost performance and cruising ease. A new chassis and swingarm make the bikes 1.4 kg lighter than the previous generation, while an under‑seat supplementary fuel tank lowers the centre of gravity for better handling. The Standard and Adventure Sports versions receive SHOWA Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (SHOWA EERA™) suspension with Honda Skyhook control, which reads vehicle behavior in real time and adjusts damping. Six default riding modes fine‑tune engine response, ABS, DCT, traction control and suspension. The standard model also gains an electrically adjustable windscreen. Adventure Sports buyers can opt for the Honda SENSING RIDE system on the DCT version. Millimetre‑wave radar at both ends of the bike provides emergency brake assist, forward‑collision warning, blind‑spot and rear‑collision alerts, adaptive cruise control with stop‑and‑go, group‑ride assist and distance assist. The Enduro Sports variant keeps the core hardware but adds higher ground clearance, taller seat, longer suspension travel and fully adjustable CRF450RALLY‑spec 49 mm closed‑cartridge USD front forks with a Pro‑Link Showa rear monoshock. It also sports dual LED headlights, a raised front fender, a SMART key, knuckle guards, cruise control and offers both six‑speed manual and six‑speed DCT transmissions. ## Context The new Africa Twin family targets both on‑road touring and off‑road adventure riders, reflecting Honda’s push to blend comfort, safety tech and rugged capability in a single adventure‑bike platform.
