Drishyam The Conclusion Nets Over ₹150 Crore in First Three Days

Confirmed by a second source: NDTV - Entertainment
Drishyam The Conclusion crossed the ₹150 crore net mark in its first three days, placing it among the biggest opening weekends for a Hindi film.
Box Office
The film earned a ₹62 crore net on Friday, the fourth‑biggest opening by a Hindi movie. Saturday’s net fell to ₹53.5 crore but still pushed the total past ₹100 crore. By 4 PM on Sunday the net reached ₹151 crore. Morning shows on Sunday saw about 42 % seat occupancy nationwide, with higher rates in many tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities.
Records
Advance bookings ranked fourth‑highest for a Hindi opening day and exceeded ₹50 crore for the weekend before release; 13 lakh tickets were sold in advance. The weekend haul already beat Salman Khan’s *Sikandar* (₹107 crore), Prabhas’ *The RajaSaab* (₹138 crore), Emraan Hashmi’s *Awarapan 2* (₹150 crore) and Ajay Devgn’s own *Shaitaan* (₹144 crore). It could overtake *War* (₹166 crore) and *Sultan* (₹180 crore) but is unlikely to reach the ₹202 crore mark of *Animal* or the ₹204 crore of *Stree 2*.
Cast & Release
The thriller brings back Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, joined by Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant, with newcomers Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj. Written and directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film opened in theatres on 2 October.
Context
A strong opening weekend is crucial for Indian films because it sets the pace for overall profitability and can determine a franchise’s future. High advance bookings and occupancy in smaller cities often signal broad audience appeal, helping a movie climb the domestic box‑office rankings.
