Actor Amrita Arora recently opened up about her fitness routine and a period when she let herself go. The 45-year-old star said getting back in shape took a lot of hard work and sacrifices after she lost her rhythm for a couple of years. She now stays active by walking on roads or treadmills and going to the gym often. Arora also watches what she eats carefully and works out harder at the gym if she feels she has binged on food.
Expert Advice
Consultant dietitian and fitness expert Garima Goyal noted that keeping healthy habits going is often harder than starting them. Goyal explained that stress, changing schedules, family duties, and low motivation can break a routine. Walking helps improve heart health and energy, while gym workouts build muscle and support fitness with age. Goyal also warned that exercise should not be used as a punishment for eating, as a single large meal does not ruin long-term progress. Instead of strict food rules, Goyal suggested a balanced diet with protein, fiber, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and healthy fats.
Context
Maintaining long-term health and fitness often requires flexibility rather than strict perfection. Experts generally advise building sustainable daily habits that can survive busy periods and life changes.
