TVS iQube to Gain Android Auto Integration, Announced at EICMA 2026
Reported by Pooja Nair (Section Editor) · Rushlane ·
TVS Motor announced that its popular iQube electric scooter will soon support Android Auto, partnering with Google, during the EICMA 2026 show in Milan. The company also unveiled a grand pavilion showcasing its European portfolio, including the M1S model slated for launch in Indonesia before Europe, the TVS X, and the Orbiter. The TVS RTR 125 made a splash on stage as the show‑stopper. Top iQube variants already feature a 7‑inch touchscreen that displays battery state‑of‑charge, range, trip data, speed and other vehicle details; the same screen will now run the familiar Android Auto interface without size constraints. TVS Motor noted that it has previously worked with Google, citing the TVS X in India, which offers wireless Android Auto on a 10.2‑inch TFT instrument cluster, and confirming the same feature for the European TVS X. Android Auto will let riders access phone apps directly, replacing proprietary solutions. The company did not specify whether the connection will be wired or wireless, nor whether the upgrade will be available to existing owners or only to new buyers. ## Context Android Auto is a Google‑developed platform that mirrors a smartphone’s apps on a vehicle’s display, traditionally used in cars. Extending it to two‑wheelers marks a step toward richer infotainment for electric scooters, aligning with broader trends of smart mobility in Europe and Asia.
