Avinash Mishra Lifts Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Trophy After Defeating Rithvik Dhanjani and Orry

Actor Avinash Mishra won the fifteenth season of the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi on October 4, after beating fellow finalists Rithvik Dhanjani and Orry in the grand finale. Along with the trophy, he received twenty lakh rupees in prize money, a Maruti Suzuki Swift car, a trip to Europe, and a bike awarded to the top three finalists. The final challenge required the three contenders to jump from a helicopter, ride a jet ski, and swim to an endpoint where the task concluded with a blast, which Avinash completed in the fastest time.

The Finalists

The finale started with the top five contestants, which also included Farrhana Bhatt and Karan Wahi, competing in tasks to make it to the top three. Karan and Farrhana lost their respective tasks and exited the show. Throughout the season, Avinash maintained a strong record, did not abort a single task, won the Swift Immunity Jacket, and impressed host and filmmaker Rohit Shetty particularly with his performance in water-based stunts. Earlier in his career, Avinash faced typecasting as television eye candy, but Rohit praised his dedication by calling him a long-distance runner during the season.

Context

Reality television shows in India frequently serve as platforms for actors to reshape their public image beyond daily soap roles. Khatron Ke Khiladi tests participants through physically demanding stunts that challenge their fears under expert supervision. Avinash previously finished fourth in Bigg Boss 18 before securing his first major trophy in this competition.
