Actor Salman Khan is back to singing for films after over a decade with a new track titled 'Teri Sexy Beauty' from his upcoming movie Maatrubhumi. The song dropped online on the official studio platform during the early hours of Wednesday.

Visuals and Cast

The video starts with Khan walking into a recording studio, wearing headphones, and laying down vocals. Actress Chitrangda Singh strums a guitar while wearing a red sari. The video shifts to an aircraft hangar filled with background dancers dressed as flight attendants in red clothes, with some playing trumpets. Khan dances with male actors playing off-duty soldiers before joining Singh on the dance floor. Singh portrays his wife in the movie, marking their first onscreen pairing.

Music Team

Sajid Khan wrote and composed the track, with Muskaan singing the female parts. This marks Khan's first song in eleven years, following previous tracks like 'Main Hoon Hero Tera' from the 2015 movie Hero and 'Hangover' from the 2014 comedy Kick. This track is the fifth song released from the album, joining numbers composed by Himesh Reshammiya, Ayaan Lall, and others, though the film still lacks an official release date.

Production and Delay

Apoorva Lakhia directed the movie, which is produced by Salman Khan Films. The project faced hold-ups due to issues tied to its depiction of the Indo-China border dispute. Originally named Battle of Galwan, the movie draws from the 2020 clashes in Eastern Ladakh's Galwan Valley, and was later renamed Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. Makers reportedly reshot parts to add a family angle instead of just focusing on military battle, and the movie is still waiting for clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification after missing its planned April theater window.

Context

Film music releases often serve to build public interest well before a movie hits cinema screens, especially for high-profile projects. Bollywood actors turning to playback singing is a long-standing promotional tradition that draws extra attention from fans. Production changes and certification reviews are normal hurdles that can shift release timelines for films dealing with sensitive military themes.
