Hero MotoCorp has launched a new Stealth Edition of its popular 125cc motorcycle, the Xtreme 125R, priced at 1,16,250 rupees ex-showroom. The motorcycle comes in a midnight black color with pearl red accents and colorful alloy wheels.

Features and Engine

The new variant features a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and music control. According to the company, this is the first bike in its segment to feature a tire pressure monitoring system that shows real-time air pressure. The bike runs on a 124.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine that produces 11.4 bhp of power and 10.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It goes from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds and offers a claimed mileage of 66 kilometers per liter.

Safety and Modes

Navbharat Times notes that the bike includes dual-channel ABS for better braking grip. It also provides three riding modes—rain, road, and sport—along with cruise control for long highway trips.

Context

Motorcycle manufacturers often introduce special editions with updated technology ahead of the festive season to attract buyers. Adding advanced rider aids and digital connectivity features to smaller 125cc bikes helps bring high-end safety tools to more affordable everyday models.
