YouTuber Anurag Dobhal Arrested After Police Catch Him and Associates Assaulting Brother-in-Law

What Happened

YouTube personality Anurag Dobhal was arrested by police in the state after officers caught him and his associates physically attacking his brother-in-law, Raj Singh Chauhan. Police received a control room call around 10 pm about a group fighting near a car showroom on Haridwar Bypass Road. Officers reached the spot and found Dobhal along with associates Abhishek, Abhay Chaudhary, and Kurbaan assaulting Chauhan. The police took both sides to a nearby police outpost. Even at the outpost, the four men grew aggressive and tried to start another fight in front of officers, leading to their arrest under Section 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita to maintain peace.

Assault Details

Raj Singh Chauhan alleged in his police complaint that Dobhal grabbed him by the neck while he was returning from a shoot and demanded to unlock his phone. When Dobhal could not access the phone, Chauhan claimed that bouncers joined the assault. He was forced under a car seat and beaten with an iron rod on his head, chest, and face, while also showing bite marks to media reporters. Police sent Chauhan to Doon Hospital for a medical examination and registered a formal case against Dobhal and three others at the Nehru Colony police station.

Family Accusations

Ritika Chauhan, the estranged wife of Anurag Dobhal, shared videos on Instagram alleging a history of abuse. She claimed that Dobhal went to her brother's workplace with 25 to 30 men, forced him into a car, and attacked him. Ritika stated that she fears Dobhal will target her, her mother, and her brother again, and attempt to take her child away to silence her voice. She also accused him of past mistreatment toward her parents, attempting to harm her pet dog Rio, raising a hand at her mother, and spreading a false affair narrative involving Abhishek Saini. Meanwhile, Dobhal claimed he was attacked first, but Ritika questioned his version by pointing out he showed no visible injuries.
