Bharti Airtel has announced new postpaid plans that include free international roaming for one trip every year. The new plans launch on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Plan Benefits
Every consumer gets a complimentary roaming pack with 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS, and free incoming SMS, valid for five days. Users can activate this pack whenever they want, rather than only when they first travel. For family postpaid plans, the free roaming benefit applies to each SIM included in the plan, allowing every family member one free trip yearly.
Features And Upgrades
The plans feature unlimited data and calling, network-level spam and fraud protection, entertainment subscriptions, and access to the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club. Monthly rentals start at Rs 499 for individuals and range up to Rs 1,799 for families of five, with varying subscriptions like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Apple iCloud+, and Google One. Existing customers can upgrade via the Airtel app or a store, while users from other operators can also switch.
Context
Telecom companies constantly update their service bundles to attract high-value postpaid users in a competitive market. Adding travel benefits to domestic plans reflects how operators try to offer more value beyond basic voice and data.
