Google has increased the price of the Pixel 10a smartphone in India by about ₹6,000, bringing the new price to ₹55,999 on the Google India Store. The price hike applies to the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the phone's core hardware and specifications remain unchanged.
Offers and Global Prices
Despite the price increase, customers in India can still use bank offers to lower the cost. Eligible ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank credit-card buyers get up to ₹3,000 instant cashback with EMI options, which brings the price down to about ₹52,999 alongside no-cost EMI options. Internationally, the entry-level 128GB variant now sells for $599 in the US, and the 256GB version costs $699. The phone also sells for C$849 in Canada, £599 in the UK, and €649 in Europe.
Industry Context
Global memory and storage component costs are rising due to high demand for RAM and storage from AI data centres, which has pushed smartphone makers to raise retail prices. Other major brands have also increased prices, with Samsung raising Galaxy S26 models by $100 and Apple hiking prices on the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max alongside older models.
Context
Smartphone manufacturers often adjust retail prices in response to global supply chain pressures and rising costs for essential internal hardware components like memory and storage. These component price shifts frequently impact electronics markets worldwide at the same time.
