The State Government is focusing on land assets to build up its financial resources and meet its financial goals. Officials have received instructions to put land details, layout statuses, plots ready for auction, and other projects onto a single digital platform.

Digital Dashboard Plan

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka called for a dedicated digital dashboard during a Cabinet sub-committee meeting on resource mobilisation on Friday to monitor government lands, layouts, and auctions effectively. This digital tool aims to improve teamwork between departments, speed up choices, and make the auction process clearer.

Industrial and Urban Areas

The meeting looked at ways to raise money by using and regularizing lands in old industrial estates and industrial layouts. Mr. Vikramarka asked for a detailed plan to speed up approvals in places like Azamabad, Balanagar, and Hafeezpet, while also looking closely at B-category and micro industrial units.

Hyderabad and Surrounding Regions

Officials also discussed land pooling, future land needs, and gathering land resources in fast-growing areas near Hyderabad, specifically Medchal and Rangareddy districts. Mr. Vikramarka checked how money could be made by developing and selling lands managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, asking teams to pick well-connected locations for phased auctions. Departments now have one week to submit a clear action plan.

Context

State governments often look at land monetization and real estate assets to find extra money for public spending and development projects. Using digital dashboards helps administration teams track government property better and reduce delays in public auctions.
