The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education in Ajmer has announced that Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2027 will begin on February 16. Students can expect the detailed subject-wise timetable to be released soon on the official website, rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in. The exam timings have also been revised. Papers will now start at 10:30 am instead of the earlier 8:30 am slot.

Past Results

In the previous academic year, Class 10 exams ran from February 12 to 28, and Class 12 exams were held from February 12 to March 11. Results for Class 10 came out on March 24 with a pass rate of 94.23 percent, covering 1,068,078 students, where girls scored 94.20 percent and boys scored 93.63 percent. Class 12 results for Science, Commerce, and Arts streams came out together on March 31 with an overall pass rate of 96.30 percent, with over eight lakh students appearing.

Exam Structure Updates

The 2027 session may bring changes to the exam structure. Education Minister Madan Dilawar announced in November 2025 that the board plans to introduce two board exam chances for Classes 10 and 12 starting in the 2026-27 session. Under this plan, the first exam is compulsory, and students can take a second exam in up to three subjects to improve their marks. The first test happens in February and March, and the second happens in May and June, with the higher score kept for the final result. However, RBSE secretary Gajendra Singh Rathore stated in March 2026 that the proposal was sent to the state government and detailed guidelines are still awaited.
