Suzuki is offering a cash discount of Rs 80,000 on its middleweight motorcycle, the GSX-8R, in India until stocks last.
Pricing And Engine
Suzuki launched the motorcycle last year at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.25 lakh, but taxes under the GST 2.0 revision pushed that price up to Rs 9.81 lakh, and it currently stands at Rs 9.89 lakh before the discount. The effective price after the Rs 80,000 discount drops to Rs 9.09 lakh, making it cheaper than the Triumph Daytona 660 priced at Rs 9.99 lakh. The motorcycle runs on a 776cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine that produces 82.9 horsepower and 78 Nm of torque.
Features And Options
Standard features on the bike include a TFT display, ride-by-wire, three ride modes, four levels of traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and all-LED lighting. Buyers can choose from three colours: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Mat Black No.2.
Context
Following the discontinuation of Honda's 650cc models, the Suzuki GSX-8R and the Triumph Daytona 660 remain the primary middleweight motorcycle options available in the Indian market.
