Sales Growth
Sales for the V-Strom reached 1,012 units in August 2026, marking a big jump from 101 units in the same month last year. The motorcycle secured sixth place in the 205cc to 340cc sales category, capturing a 3.42% market share as total segment sales grew 72.03% to 29,582 units.
Features and Engine
The update brings no mechanical changes, retaining the 249cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that generates 26.5 PS of power and 22.2 Nm of torque. The motorcycle keeps its signature front beak, upright riding position, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, and 205 mm ground clearance. Dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and a Bluetooth-enabled digital console also remain standard.
Offers And Context
Deepak Mutreja, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Motorcycle India, stated that the fresh paint scheme gives buyers more ways to show their personal style. Suzuki is also bundling an assured Rs 5,000 Rynox apparel voucher alongside financing options offering up to 100% loans with interest rates starting at 6.99%.
Context
Motorcycle manufacturers often introduce new paint finishes and seasonal accessory offers to boost showroom interest without needing to redesign a model from scratch. Adding styling updates helps bikes stay fresh against growing competition in the mid-size adventure and touring segments.
