Mini India has started taking pre-bookings for a new limited-run model called the Cooper Oxford Edition. The company says this special version of the hatchback pays tribute to Oxford, which is the hometown of the brand. It will be sold in India in the 'S' trim level. Under the hood, it features the exact same 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine that powers the standard Cooper 3-door hatchback.
Context
Limited editions often help car makers keep buyer interest high by offering special styling or thematic links to their history. The Cooper range remains one of the most recognizable premium hatchbacks available in the global and Indian markets.
