The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is receiving a major feature upgrade, with bikes now reaching dealerships across the country.
New Features
The updated motorcycle now includes a bidirectional quickshifter, traction control, and four ride modes, which Bajaj previously offered on the larger NS400Z. Power from the 200cc engine increases slightly from 24.5 horsepower to 25.5 horsepower, alongside an electronic throttle body. The bike also features a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with Google Maps mirroring, new switchgear, and a striking Nardo Grey color option paired with red alloy wheels.
Hardware and Price
Additional equipment lists include radial tyres, 37mm upside-down front forks, USB Type-C charging, a hazard switch, a panic brake alert, and adjustable levers. While the current model carries a price tag of Rs 1.48 lakh, matching its primary rival the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V priced between Rs 1.48 lakh and Rs 1.49 lakh, a price increase is expected when Bajaj makes an official announcement.
Context
Motorcycle manufacturers frequently update their popular lineups with advanced electronics and modern connected features to attract younger buyers in a competitive market segment. These technology trickle-down strategies allow companies to offer premium capabilities previously reserved for larger displacement motorcycles in smaller, more accessible engine classes.
