Reported by Varun Krishnan (Senior Writer) · Variety ·
Actor Jodie Sweetin revealed she had just $190 in her bank account and had to borrow money during the first week of filming the 2016 Netflix reboot "Fuller House." Speaking on the "We're Still Here, Babe" podcast, Sweetin shared that her co-workers were unaware of her financial struggles at the time. She also discussed past money troubles caused by addiction, which forced her to take normal jobs outside of Hollywood to pay her bills and support her children. Sweetin recalled facing moments of humility when she had to put items back at Target because her debit card lacked sufficient funds.
Background
"Full House" originally aired for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995, with Sweetin playing the role of Stephanie Tanner. The later sequel series, "Fuller House," ran for five seasons and nearly 80 episodes, bringing back many original cast members alongside newer additions.
