Actor Nanncy Gill Pursues Studies Abroad After Role in Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Udta Teer

Actor Nanncy Gill is pursuing a master's degree in screen and stage at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, choosing further study over immediate commercial opportunities in India.

Career and Projects

Recently seen as a Counter Terrorist Squad agent named Sharon in the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Udta Teer, Gill spent 45 days shooting in Manali for the film. Her background includes working on the web series Raisinghani versus Raisinghani in 2024 and starring in the short film Uski Kavya with Namit Das last year. She also shot for a web series in Dehradun in 2023 and 2024, and completed a series for Goldie Behl's production house starring Sumeet Vyas.

Theatre and Training

Aiming to work as an actor, writer, and theatre director, Gill previously directed two plays in India titled House Arrest and Mandi House, which were staged in Mumbai and at Delhi's Shri Ram Center. To prepare for action roles like her part in Udta Teer, she trained in kalaripayattu, boxing, mixed martial arts, and dance, and spent three months in Greece learning physical theatre.
