The Indian motorcycle market offers a wide variety of neo-retro models priced under Rs 3 lakh, led historically by Royal Enfield since the 2009 launch of the Classic 350. Today, buyers can choose from multiple brands offering distinct features and engine configurations.

Honda and Triumph Offerings

Honda announced the CB500 with prices revealed in late September and alloy-version deliveries starting in October. It features a 501cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 28.1hp and 43.3Nm, with alloy-wheel versions starting at Rs 2.75 lakh, single-colour versions at Rs 3 lakh, and top-end striped-tank models at Rs 3.02 lakh. Meanwhile, Triumph launched the Bonneville T4 and T40 on October 6. The T40 features a 349cc liquid-cooled engine making 29hp and 31.2Nm, a 4-inch TFT display, and a price of Rs 2.80 lakh. The simpler Bonneville T4 costs Rs 25,000 less at Rs 2.55 lakh. Triumph also offers the Speed T4 at Rs 2.10 lakh and the Tracker 400 at Rs 2.43 lakh.

Harley-Davidson, Jawa, and Royal Enfield

Harley-Davidson's mass-market X440, built with help from Hero and launched in 2023, uses a 440cc engine delivering 27hp and 38Nm starting at Rs 2.35 lakh. Classic Legends revived the Czech brand Jawa, offering the Jawa 350 and 42 FJ starting at Rs 2.02 lakh with a 334cc engine, alongside the Yezdi Roadster starting at Rs 2 lakh. Honda's 350cc lineup starts at Rs 1.95 lakh, while Jawa's standalone 42 model begins at Rs 1.85 lakh with a 294.7cc engine. Royal Enfield continues to dominate the segment with five different 350 models sharing a 349cc engine with 20.2hp and 27Nm, with prices starting at Rs 1.37 lakh.
