Superstar Salman Khan has started a demanding 50-day shooting schedule for the final leg of his upcoming action drama titled Monster. Director Vamshi Paidipally is leading the Pan-India project, which is currently filming high-stakes close-quarter fight scenes at a studio located in Mira Road. Instead of relying on glossy visual effects, the production team is focusing on a raw and grounded style of hand-to-hand combat.

Filming Progress

Principal photography for the movie officially kicked off in Mumbai in mid-April 2026. The production team previously wrapped up a six-week schedule in Goregaon this August that included large action pieces, crowd scenes, and an elaborate set resembling an Afghan village. This setup was followed by a 10-day combat training session in Mumbai during September.

Release Plan

Salman Khan is currently juggling his television hosting duties for Bigg Boss 20 alongside this physically tough shooting schedule to keep the movie on track for a November wrap. After filming concludes, the crew will move straight into post-production work to get the movie ready for a theatrical release on Eid 2027. Dil Raju is producing the film under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, with an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swamy, Rahul Dev, Ronit Roy, and Seema Biswas.

Context

Large-scale action movies often require dedicated combat training blocks and extended schedules for hand-to-hand fight sequences to ensure safety and realism. Mira Road and Goregaon are frequent hubs for major film studio setups in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
