Former BJP politician Atar Singh Bhadana died after a violent attack in Bhonda village within the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan on Sunday night. Police stated the incident occurred when Bhadana went to inspect his stone crusher site following an ongoing dispute with local villagers regarding the restarting of the crusher. Circle Officer Neeraj Bhardwaj reported that a group of villagers allegedly assaulted Bhadana and his companion Gagan Sharma using sticks and stones. Both men suffered severe injuries and were initially rushed to a hospital located in Weir. Bhadana was subsequently transferred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur, where doctors declared him dead during treatment, while Sharma was shifted to Bharatpur for further medical care. Authorities noted that villagers had previously accused Bhadana of carrying out illegal mining operations and encroaching on grazing land.
