Salman Khan to launch final season of Koffee With Karan on Oct 14

Salman Khan will open the final season of Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan, which launches on October 14 on JioHotstar.## What Happened The first promo shows the filmmaker teasing the show’s open‑ended vibe, saying “this is the finale season so this can go anywhere.” Khan replies in Hindi, “Kahin bhi ja sakta hai,” followed by a witty “Jaa hi sakta hai. Yeh toh gaya hi gaya hai.” The teaser confirms Khan will appear solo, marking his return after more than a decade since his Season 5 appearance with brothers Arbaaz and Sohail. Season 9 is billed as the last chapter of the two‑decade‑old chat show, with the launch timed around Diwali.## Reaction Karan Johar’s emotional September video recalled the show’s 2004 debut after his father Yash Johar’s death on June 26, 2004, and the first episode shot on August 16 that year. He noted the programme’s mix of lovers, friends, families and occasional controversies, even saying he still lives with the word “nepotism.” Industry buzz lists Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan and emerging South Indian and digital‑media stars as possible guests, though no official list exists.## Context Koffee With Karan has shaped Bollywood gossip since 2004, turning casual chats into headline‑making moments. The final season’s solo Salman appearance closes a loop that began with his 2013 debut alongside his father Salim Khan, highlighting the show’s long‑standing ties with the Khan family.
