UPDATE - follow-up to What to expect from 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift ahead of launch: Toyota will launch the Glanza facelift on October 14, 2026, a month after the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift. ## Design The teaser shows a revised front fascia with the Toyota badge moved to the bonnet edge, a shiny garnish flowing into a new bumper, rectangular fog lamps replacing the old round units, and a hexagonal‑pattern air intake. An ADAS module may appear at the front and new paint colours are hinted. ## Interior The cabin layout stays similar to the pre‑facelift model, keeping the layered dashboard, physical switches and top‑mount infotainment screen. Possible new steering‑wheel buttons could control the expected ADAS, and fresh interior colour schemes may differentiate it from the Baleno. ## Features Top trims could gain ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad with cooling, and an upgraded audio system while retaining the 9‑inch touchscreen, automatic climate control and connected‑car tech. Safety may include Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise, auto‑emergency braking and lane‑keep assist, plus TPMS, 360° camera, head‑up display, hill‑hold, stability control and six airbags. ## Powertrain A new 1.2‑litre three‑cylinder Z‑series engine is slated to replace the outgoing 1.2‑litre four‑cylinder K‑series unit. The Z‑engine produced 83 hp and 112 Nm in the Baleno, versus 90 hp and 113 Nm from the older engine, and is tuned for better fuel economy; the current Glanza rates 22.35‑22.94 kmpl. Transmission choices remain a 5‑speed manual or 5‑speed AMT, and CNG variants are expected with about 70 hp and 102 Nm output. ## Pricing The facelift is likely to sit above the existing price range of Rs 6.73 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex‑showroom) due to added features and design tweaks, keeping it competitive against the Baleno, Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. ## Context Facelifts are common in the Indian hatch‑back segment to refresh styling and add tech before a full redesign. Toyota’s Glanza is a rebadged version of the Maruti Baleno, so many updates mirror those seen on the Baleno.
