BSA Motorcycles has added two fresh paint schemes to the Gold Star 650 lineup in India. The motorcycle now comes in Birmingham Blue and a range-topping Brooklands Black Legacy Edition.
Price Range
The bike now carries a price tag starting from Rs 3.42 lakh for the Insignia Red option. The new Birmingham Blue costs Rs 3.56 lakh, while the Sheen Silver is priced at Rs 3.60 lakh and Midnight Black sits at Rs 3.45 lakh. The Brooklands Black Legacy Edition is the most expensive choice at Rs 3.65 lakh, with all prices quoted as ex-showroom in Delhi.
Engine And Specs
No mechanical changes are made to the motorcycle in this update. It still runs on a 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that puts out 45hp and 55Nm of torque. The motor works with a 5-speed gearbox. Buyers can also purchase extra accessories like a windshield, a rear rack, and knee pads for the bike.
Context
In the 650cc retro motorcycle market, the primary competitor for this bike is the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. While the Interceptor uses a parallel-twin engine for smooth highway cruising, the Gold Star relies on a big single-cylinder layout paired with modern liquid cooling.
