Italjet will launch in India through a strategic tie‑up with Motohaus India, the Kolhapur‑based dealer that already sells Brixton Motorcycles and VLF scooters. The partnership was announced by the Italian two‑wheeler maker, which said full details on models, prices, positioning and launch dates will be revealed at the EICMA 2026 show in Milan next month. Italjet is headquartered in Bologna and is known for unconventional designs and performance‑focused scooters. Its global range is the Dragster lineup, starting with the 125 cc model and extending to the 700 cc version. All Dragster bikes use an underbone chassis that differs from conventional scooters on Indian roads. The flagship Dragster 700 packs a 698 cc liquid‑cooled twin‑cylinder engine, produces 69 hp and is paired with a six‑speed manual gearbox. The models expected first in India are the lower‑capacity Dragster 125 and Dragster 300, which share a unique front suspension, Italjet’s Independent Steering System and an exposed trellis frame. The Dragster 125 and 300 feature the same exposed trellis frame that gives a motorcycle‑like look while retaining scooter practicality. Motohaus will add Italjet to its portfolio alongside Brixton and VLF, expanding its premium two‑wheeler offering and giving Indian enthusiasts a broader range of high‑performance bikes.

Context

Italian brands like Italjet are targeting the Indian market as demand for sporty, design‑forward scooters grows, and the EICMA show serves as a global launch platform for new models.
