Vodafone Idea shares fall over 2% as TRAI levies ₹2 lakh fine

Vodafone Idea shares slipped more than 2% in morning trade on the BSE on Wednesday, 16 September, extending losses for a second day. The stock opened flat at ₹14.47 and fell 2.3% to an intraday low of ₹14.14. In the previous session the shares had dropped 3.28%. The broader market moved higher, with the Sensex gaining 0.70% in early deals. An exchange filing dated 15 September said the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India ordered a financial disincentive of ₹2 lakh on the company. TRAI imposed the fine as noted in the filing.
