Representative image · PexelsJSW Motors has filed a design patent in India for its version of the Chery iCaur V23 electric SUV. The Indian model keeps the overall boxy silhouette, circular LED headlights and LED DRL with black surrounds, but features a redesigned blanked‑off grille. The front bumper remains the same as the global model. New alloy wheels replace the original design, and a rectangular panel appears between the C‑ and D‑pillars, a detail missing abroad. A panoramic sunroof is added, while the rear retains slim LED taillights and a tailgate‑mounted storage box. The cabin is expected to mirror the international version’s minimalistic layout. A 15.4‑inch touchscreen doubles as the instrument cluster. The steering wheel has three spokes and mounted controls, and rotary dials manage drive mode, audio and climate. The SUV will seat five, use leatherette upholstery, and may receive a fresh cabin theme and new seat trims. Powertrain options include a 59.93 kWh battery with a rear‑axle motor delivering 134 hp and 180 Nm, and an 81.76 kWh pack with a dual‑motor AWD system that outputs 208 hp and 292 Nm. Sources say the Indian version will launch with the dual‑motor AWD setup. JSW Motors aims to price the electric off‑roader around Rs 20 lakh ex‑showroom, positioning it against the Mahindra Thar Roxx and Force Gurkha 5‑door models.
