Police in Yellareddypet have stepped up an investigation into a cheating case against a Sircilla-based foreign job agent. The probe comes as Rakshita seeks the return of her 30-year-old husband, D. Kishan, from Narayanpur village in Rajanna Sircilla district. Kishan is reportedly stuck in a war zone in Russia. Rakshita lodged a formal complaint on Monday. She stated that the agent cheated her husband by promising him a job in Russia. Family members alleged that the agent collected two lakh and fifty thousand rupees from Kishan before sending him abroad recently. Instead of a proper job, Kishan reportedly ended up in a war zone and was allegedly forced to fight. Local villagers have demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged illegal overseas recruitment. They also called for a probe into possible human trafficking and urged strict action against those responsible for the fraud.

Context

Overseas job fraud usually involves illegal agents who make false promises of high-paying work abroad to trick desperate job seekers. Victims often end up stranded in dangerous conditions or unfamiliar countries without legal support. Authorities frequently advise people to use only government-approved recruitment agencies for foreign employment.
