Karnataka BJP Chief Alleges Congress Conspiracies and Internal Rifts

BJP State president B.Y. Vijayendra stated in Hubballi on Sunday that sting operations have moved from the KPCC office to the Vidhana Soudha. He claimed that certain Congress leaders are creating fake videos to trap political rivals, insult them publicly, and push them out of power. Mr. Vijayendra warned that these activities could trigger a major political upheaval in the State. Mr. Vijayendra was in Hubballi to campaign for party candidate S.V. Sankanur for the upcoming Legislative Council elections from the West Graduates Constituency. He stated that he has inside information about growing dissidence against Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. According to him, senior Congress leaders are holding high-level meetings to overthrow Mr. Shivakumar, and his exit from power seems almost certain once the Legislative Council polls conclude. Addressing other issues, Mr. Vijayendra challenged the Chief Minister to order a full inquiry into the Karnataka Public Service Commission scam to uncover the truth, responding to Congress claims that the previous BJP government created the scam. He also criticized Mr. Shivakumar for returning empty-handed from a recent trip to New Delhi, calling him an inefficient administrator who is pushing Karnataka into a debt trap and failing to pay government employees or run welfare schemes. Furthermore, he accused the Congress of funding groups like the Cockroach Janta Party to create chaos and destroy public trust in constitutional bodies.
