Indian stock market benchmark indices ended the week with gains for the second week in a row. The Nifty finished at 23,146 and the Sensex closed at 74,729, rising by nearly 2.78 percent and 3.11 percent respectively. This upward push came mostly from the information technology sector as tech stocks drew fresh buying interest. Global funds moved money away from international artificial intelligence and semiconductor stocks due to high prices and delayed returns, choosing Indian IT service providers instead for their stable work and fair prices.

Market Outlook

Vaishali Parekh, who works as Vice President for Technical Research at Prabhudas Lilladher, notes that the market mood has grown better. She points out that the Nifty 50 index must cross the important 50-EMA level in the 23,300 zone to build strong positive confidence, while the 22,200 zone serves as a major support level. For the Bank Nifty, the index faces resistance near the 55,900 level and awaits results from major banks like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank. Parekh recommends buying three specific stocks: Coforge with a buy price of 1,950 rupees, a target of 2,030 rupees, and a stop loss of 1,900 rupees; Lalithaa Jewellery Mart at 371 rupees with a target of 385 rupees and a stop loss of 360 rupees; and Titan at 4,480 rupees with a target of 4,650 rupees and a stop loss of 4,400 rupees.

Context

Stock market analysts often look at technical indicators like moving averages and support zones to judge the short-term direction of major indices. Global capital flows frequently shift between different countries and sectors based on how international investors view risks and valuations.
