Four suspects were arrested by Delhi’s Special Cell for supplying the firearm used in the October 18 shooting of actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai. The accused are Kunal, 21, and Sumit, 19, both from Sonipat, Haryana, and Radha, 23, and Babita, 23, both from Uttar Pradesh. Police seized Radha and Babita at New Delhi Railway Station while Kunal and Sumit were picked up in Sonipat. All four were produced before a court under Section 35(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita; the Maharashtra CID then obtained permission for custodial interrogation and three‑day transit remand. Investigators say Kunal, who had recently been released on bail, was introduced to a man identified as Anil Pandit through a friend from Harsana village and communicated with him via an encrypted app. On Pandit’s orders, Kunal travelled to Amritsar, collected a pistol and 20 rounds of ammunition, and was accompanied by Sumit. Two months later Kunal met Radha, disclosed the plan and persuaded her to carry the weapon to Mumbai. On 15 October Kunal escorted Radha and Babita to New Delhi Railway Station; the pistol was hidden in Radha’s bag. The women reached Dadar, Mumbai on 17 October, checked into a hotel, and a minor retrieved the bag near the hotel at about 11 am. At 7 pm on 18 October, shots were fired at Shroff’s car as he left a club after a football match. After the firing Pandit told Kunal the shooters were stranded and asked him to arrange an escape. Radha and Babita left Mumbai the same evening on the Dadar–Haridwar Express. The four were formally arrested by Mumbai’s CID on 20 October after the Delhi police action.

Context

The case shows how a small weapon‑supply network can span multiple states, involving encrypted messaging and coordinated travel. Police also indicated the shooters originally targeted another high‑profile Bollywood star but switched to Shroff when the first target’s security proved too strong.
