Mumbai Police Boost Security Near Salman Khan Home Following Tiger Shroff Attack Investigation

Security has been stepped up outside actor Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments home in Mumbai's Bandra area following new leads in the recent firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff. Police have deployed extra personnel, armed guards, and officers in bulletproof jackets, alongside increased patrols in the neighbourhood.

The Attack Background

The security upgrade follows an attack on October 18, when three men on a motorcycle fired seven rounds at Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai's Juhu area. Tiger escaped without injury, but his driver and a passerby sustained injuries during the shooting.

Investigation Details

Investigators reportedly found that the accused had earlier surveyed Salman Khan's residence as their primary target before shifting focus because the security was too hard to break. Reports based on investigation sources also claimed the suspects scoped out locations linked to other stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan.

Police Clarification

However, DCP Special Cell Praveen Tripathi stated that police interrogation of four arrested suspects—who allegedly supplied weapons—did not confirm Salman as a target. Tripathi noted that these four individuals only knew about buying and supplying weapons and had no information on other celebrity targets.

Context

High-profile film stars in India often face significant security threats due to their immense public status, leading to heightened police deployments when suspicious activities or attacks occur near their properties. Investigating agencies regularly examine potential links between different threats to ensure the safety of public figures and residents in densely populated urban areas like Mumbai.
