Mumbai police have clarified that questioning four people linked to the recent firing at actor Tiger Shroff's car has not shown any proof that other film stars were also targets.

The Arrests

Praveen Tripathi, Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Special Cell, stated that a special team arrested four suspects: two women named Radha and Babita, along with two men named Kunal and Sumit. According to police, Kunal had recently come out of jail and travelled to Amritsar with Sumit to pick up weapons on orders from Anil Pandit. Kunal then allegedly used Radha and Babita to carry the weapons to Mumbai, where the women handed them over to a minor close to a railway station. Police also stated that Kunal used encrypted messages to talk with Pandit and had previously carried out a shooting in Panipat for him.

Unconfirmed Reports

Earlier media reports based on police sources claimed that Salman Khan was the original target before security at his Galaxy Apartments home made the plan too difficult, leading the suspects to choose Tiger Shroff instead. Other reports stated the suspects posed as regular visitors to check homes belonging to Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Akshay Kumar. However, Tripathi noted that the four arrested suspects were only part of the weapon supply network and knew nothing about other targets.

Context

High-profile security incidents involving Bollywood actors often draw intense media attention and unverified claims about wider plots. Police investigations into such cases typically untangle separate layers of a crime, separating the individuals who supply weapons from those who plan and execute attacks.
