Q2 Recovery
Realty firm DLF posted pre-sales of ₹3,800 crore in the September quarter, bouncing back after four quarters of a lull in new project launches. Bookings jumped from ₹657 crore in the June quarter, driven by luxury home demand in Gurugram.
Future Plans And Hurdles
The company faces a tall ask to meet its full-year pre-sales target of ₹20,000 crore, having recorded about ₹4,500 crore in the first half of the year. Upcoming launches include West Park in Mumbai in the December quarter and Hamilton-2 at DLF City in the March quarter, with a combined revenue potential of ₹10,000 to ₹12,000 crore. DLF also warned of temporary construction delays of 30 to 40 days due to labour migration and pollution rules in the Delhi-National Capital Region.
Context
Large real estate developers often rely heavily on festive season momentum and luxury housing segments to drive quarterly bookings. Regional land concentration and regulatory hurdles like pollution restrictions routinely impact construction timelines in northern urban centres.
