Tata Motors will launch the Aeris, a rebranded version of the Tigor, on September 25, 2026, marking the biggest update to its compact sedan in nearly ten years. The new model is expected to feature sheet‑metal changes rather than just new soft parts, borrowing cues from the recent Tiago facelift. At the front, slimmer LED headlamps and fog lamps are linked by a black trim, while the bumper adopts C‑shaped elements and a wide air inlet. The side profile retains the notchback roofline and glasshouse of the Tigor, but adds an upward kink in the beltline toward the C‑pillar and a pronounced shoulder line running the car’s length, along with a fresh alloy‑wheel design. Patent images suggest the rear will sport slimmer, connected tail‑lamps and move the license‑plate mount from the boot lid to the bumper, which will feature vertical reflectors and matching C‑shaped styling; EV variants may show subtle rear tweaks. Inside, the Aeris will follow the Tiago’s cabin layout, offering a binnacle‑less digital driver display, Bluetooth, and a 10.25‑inch infotainment screen. A 360‑degree camera, wireless charger and connected‑car tech are also expected. Powertrain options will mirror the current Tigor: a 1.2‑litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a factory‑fitted CNG version and an electric model with a 26 kWh battery and front‑mounted motor. Pricing will sit above the Tigor’s Rs 5.7‑9.10 lakh range, while the Tigor EV costs Rs 12.49‑13.75 lakh. The Aeris will compete with the Honda Amaze, Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Aura.
