Daft Punk has teamed up with Lego to launch a new collaboration that includes a Lego set modeled on the pyramid stage from the duo’s 2007 ‘Alive’ tour. The set originated from a father‑son team in Belgium who submitted a “Daft Punk Concert” design to Lego Ideas in 2020. Their entry won the grand‑prize competition and later reached the required 10,000 supporter threshold, moving it to the next development stage. The official set recreates the iconic pyramid stage, which Daft Punk creative director Cédric Herve says is one of the most recognisable parts of their visual world. To kick off the partnership, Lego and Daft Punk produced a 48‑second film that shows the duo as Lego minifigures with helmets chasing a holographic red brick across a desert. The soundtrack mixes a bassline tribute from the 2001 album “Discovery” with the title track of the 2005 album “Human After All.” A Lego press release promises more fan‑focused experiences that blend music, culture and creative spaces. The collaboration is not the first Lego cameo for the French duo. They appeared as minifigures in Pharrell’s 2024 Lego‑animated documentary “Piece by Piece,” which also featured Nile Rodgers on the hit “Get Lucky.” Lego’s chief product and marketing officer Julia Goldin said the partnership builds on the shared legacy of creativity and fan connection that both brands enjoy.

Context

Lego Ideas allows fans to propose sets that can become official products if they gather enough public support. Reaching 10,000 votes is the standard threshold for Lego to consider a design for production.
