Mahindra launches Thar OG with new colours and upgraded chassis

Mahindra has launched the Thar OG, priced from Rs 10.32 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex‑showroom). The new model sits on a stiffer platform and features a revised suspension setup along with added equipment. It is offered in eight paint shades, two of which are brand‑new: Artemis Silver, a grey‑black hybrid, and Jeans Blue, a trendy blue. Existing shades include Tango Red, Galaxy Grey, Battleship Grey, Everest White, Stealth Black and Deep Forest, each catering to different style preferences. Tango Red remains a signature Thar hue and is instantly recognisable. Galaxy Grey offers a simple, straightforward look. Battleship Grey falls between the new blue and the existing Galaxy Grey in appearance. Everest White provides contrast against the blacked‑out sections of the body. Stealth Black gives the vehicle a more sinister look. Deep Forest matches the SUV’s outdoorsy character. Buyers can choose among three powertrains: a 119 hp 1.5‑litre diesel, a 152 hp 2.2‑litre diesel and a 162 hp 2.0‑litre direct‑injection turbo‑petrol. Both a six‑speed manual and a six‑speed automatic gearbox are available. Depending on the variant, the Thar OG can be ordered with rear‑wheel drive or four‑wheel drive.
