Swiggy shares tumbled more than 17% on Friday, 23 October, reaching a 52‑week low after the company posted its September quarter (Q1FY27) results. The stock opened at ₹204.90, down from the previous close of ₹211.30, and fell to ₹174.90 intraday. Over the past month the share price has dropped 35%, and over the last year it is down 58% from its 52‑week high of ₹434.50 recorded on 31 October last year. The quarter showed an improvement in adjusted EBITDA, which rose by ₹101 crore year‑on‑year to ₹341 crore, lifting the adjusted EBITDA margin by 58 basis points to 3.4%. Out‑of‑home consumption grew 34.9% year‑on‑year to ₹1,508 crore, marking the seventh straight quarter of profitability. The company reported a profit margin of 0.5% of gross order value. Analysts note that the sharp intraday fall follows the earnings release and adds to a year‑long downtrend in the stock. Investors will watch whether the revenue growth can sustain profitability and reverse the prolonged price decline.
