Representative image · PexelsBMW Motorrad has officially teased a new naked street bike on social media, with a full global reveal scheduled for October 1st, 2026, at 5 PM CEST. This upcoming model is widely expected to be named the F 450 R and serves as a street naked version built on the brand's new 450 platform.
Platform And Design
BMW aims to grow its entry-level multi-cylinder motorcycle lineup, which currently features only the F 450 GS adventure tourer. The teaser caption mentions the bike is "Enhanced With AI," which hints that the final production model could look slightly different from the preview. The teaser reveals a muscular silhouette, a steel trellis frame where the engine acts as a stressed member, and 5-spoke wheels similar to the F 450 GS. Other visible elements include massive tank shrouds for the radiator, a sporty LED headlight setup, a chiseled fuel tank shape, and a scooped split seat with a raised pillion section. The bike appears to use an underbelly exhaust system instead of a visible side canister.
Expected Features And Performance
Expected hardware includes wide handlebars for an upright riding posture, upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and single disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The bike is also expected to feature a 6.5-inch TFT screen with phone connectivity and navigation, traction control, ride modes, and cruise control. Power is likely to come from the same 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine used in the F 450 GS, producing 48 horsepower and 43 Nm of torque. BMW may also offer its Easy Ride Clutch system on this new street fighter.
