Actor Raghubir Yadav does not want a film version of Panchayat

Panchayat Film Talks

The box office success of Mirzapur: The Movie has sparked talks about other hit Indian web shows getting their own films. Panchayat actor Raghubir Yadav recently said he is not in favour of turning the show into a movie.

Why The Actor Objected

Yadav, who plays Brij Bhushan Dubey, told Variety India that a movie might ruin the series. He explained that it is hard to fit a story with so many characters into a three-hour film. He noted that characters like Banrakas, Manju Devi, and Sachivji have deep lives that need more time. However, Yadav also stated he will not interfere if the makers decide to go ahead with a film.
